Moon Mandala #3 - Free Coloring Page

At the centre sits a crescent moon amid fine fanned rays and scattered dots. A ring of twelve solid circles surrounds it like a cycle of lunar phases, closed off by a thin circle. Next comes a band of slender pointed shapes alternating with small stars, followed by a crown of layered lotus petals. The outer band mixes crescents, full-moon discs and small flowers, finished with a row of even beads.

The linework is fine and dense at the centre, where the rays and tiny stars leave little room for a pencil tip; the spaces widen through the petals and outer crescents, easier to fill in. This mandala coloring page suits someone comfortable with detail work, and finishing it well can take an hour or more.

Fine liners or coloured pencils keep the small stars and tight rays in the centre from blurring together, so it helps to work the large outer petals first and save that dense middle for last. When printing this printable mandala, choose A4 paper at 200gsm or heavier to stop marker ink from bleeding through the sheet.
