Moon Mandala #5 - Free Coloring Page

At the center of this mandala, a large crescent moon sits beside a small circle, both scattered with tiny stars and crossed by a fine spiral. A tight ring of crescents, stars and dots surrounds it, followed by a band of pointed petals and a wider circle where large five-point stars alternate with crescent-and-circle trios. An outer band of broad wave-like spirals leads to a thin ring of beads and the final double-line circle.

The linework is fine and even, tightest at the center where stars and dots leave very little surface to fill, then opens up in the spiral and petal ring. This mandala coloring page suits teens and adults comfortable with a fine pen, ready for the precision the core demands. Allow one to two hours for the outer rings, more for the center.

Start with the outer spiral band and the petals before tackling the central crescent and its small stars, best done with a sharp pencil or a 0.3mm fineliner - a broad marker would bleed over the finest points. Printed as a printable mandala, it works best on thick A4 or A3 paper, 200gsm or more.
