Owl Mandala #17 - Free Coloring Page

At the center of this mandala, a round medallion holds an owl's face: large ringed eyes, pointed feather tufts, a short beak, and below it two curled spirals like folded plumage. Around it, a wreath of scrolling foliage hides four miniature owl faces, one at the top, one at the bottom, one on each side. A wide band of pointed and rounded petals closes the design before a fine double circle line.

The linework stays fine and dense, especially through the scrolls and the outer petal band, where the shapes to fill are small and plentiful. The central medallion has larger areas - the eyes, the beak, the big spirals - easy enough for a beginner, but this mandala coloring page, with its four tiny faces, calls for patience and suits a more experienced colorist best.

A fine-tip marker or a sharpened colored pencil helps trace the scrolls without going over the lines; start with the central owl before tackling the outer petal band, the most delicate part of the drawing. This printable mandala prints well on A4 paper at 160-200 gsm, sturdy enough for markers or pencils without bleeding through.
