Owl Mandala #20 - Free Coloring Page

An owl looks straight out at you from the centre of this printable mandala. Its round eyes are the only areas already filled solid black, topped by two feather tufts that curve up like eyebrows. The beak forms a small downward heart, and the body is built from overlapping scale-like feathers. Five rings surround it: tiny teardrop buds, a band of leaves and scrolling curls, then a broad band of paisley shapes coiled around spiral centres. The outer edge is a crown of solid beads.

The linework is fine and the enclosed areas are small, particularly through the paisley band. Expect a long sitting — this is a mandala for someone who wants to settle in and work slowly, not an afternoon's colouring.

Start with the owl itself and move outward. Its body holds the largest shapes and sets the palette for everything else. Keep a fine-tip pen for the spirals and a pencil for blending the plumage. The beaded ring colours quickly and frames the whole page. Print it at A4 on paper of at least 120 gsm if you are working with markers, and the ink will not bleed through.
