A central lotus ringed by tibetan dragons and a flame-swirl border

At the center, a small circle sits inside an eight-petaled lotus, each petal doubled with a rounded, notched tip. A thin ring of small pointed leaves wraps around the flower before a first circular line closes off the central zone. Next comes a band split into sixteen radial cells holding small vajras, bells and dots, each separated by fine spokes. A second, wider band repeats the same sixteen divisions, this time filled with stylized dragon shapes with curling tails and tall slender flames. A final circle closes the pattern, followed by an uneven outer edge made of countless small flame- or cloud-like swirls instead of a plain circle.

The line stays thin and even throughout, but the density shifts a lot from one zone to another: the sixteen inner cells and the dragon band pack in many small shapes, while the lotus petals and the flame border leave somewhat larger spaces to fill. This printable mandala suits someone already comfortable with fine-tipped pencils, able to hold tight outlines over several sittings; expect more than one session to work through all sixteen repeats.

Fine colored pencils or fine-liner markers work better than broad markers here, especially on the vajras and bells in the inner band, the tightest parts of the design. Starting with the central lotus, which reads more clearly, before moving cell by cell through the radial bands makes sense on a mandala coloring page this dense. Print this design at A3 on 200gsm paper to keep the small dragon-band details crisp.
