Tibetan Mandala #12 - Free Coloring Page

At the centre, a small blank circle is ringed by an eight-petalled lotus, each petal holding a tiny symbol. A band follows where round medallions and pedimented gateways alternate, arranged like the four gates of a palace. A narrow frieze of repeating small figures closes this core, then a wide outer ring of spiralling scrollwork and clusters of three dots, before two clean circular lines close the mandala.

The line stays fine throughout, but tightens in the frieze and the palace medallions, where the spaces to fill are tiny; the lotus and the scroll ring leave larger, easier areas. This mandala coloring page suits a hand already used to dense patterns, and takes several sittings to finish.

Start with the lotus and the gated ring, where any slip shows at once, and save the more forgiving outer scrolls for last. A fine pencil or a sharp fineliner works better than a marker in the frieze and medallions. Print this printable mandala at A3, on paper of at least 200 gsm.
