Square palace with key-pattern borders framed by petals and round medallions.
A square palace sits at the heart of this design: four nested squares, each edged with a tight Greek-key (meander) border and marked with small motifs at the corners, step inward toward a four-pointed diamond at the very center. Around that square, a ring of pointed petals fans inward, followed by a band of scrolling foliage, then a row of round medallions alternating with curling vines. A tighter meander band closes the pattern before the outer rim, a neat string of round beads.
The linework is fine and dense, especially inside the nested squares, where the meander motifs leave only tiny spaces to fill — this printable mandala suits someone used to detailed work rather than a first attempt. The petal and foliage bands give larger, easier areas to color, but finishing the whole page still takes patience, roughly two to four hours depending on how much detail you chase.
Sharp colored pencils or fine-tip markers handle the central squares better than a broad marker, which would blur the key pattern; starting there keeps your hand steady before moving out to the looser bands. For a mandala coloring page this detailed, print at A3 on paper of at least 200 gsm, heavy enough to take repeated pencil layers without wearing through.
