At the center of this mandala, a small flame-shaped emblem sits inside a tight circle, ringed by a double row of rounded lotus petals. A thin circular line separates it from a band of Tibetan endless-knot motifs alternating with pointed petal shapes, framed within a four-lobed border. A wide band follows, split into sixteen niches, each sheltering a seated figure, Buddhas and deities in turn. The outer edge, neither a plain circle nor a beaded ring, forms an openwork border of scrolling curls and Tibetan cloud shapes.

The linework tightens noticeably inside the niches and along the outer scrollwork, where the spaces to color shrink to slivers; the central petals and the knotwork ring give wider, steadier fields to work with.
