At the center, an eight-petaled lotus surrounds a small circle, ringed by a second row of pointed petals. The flower sits inside a circle, then a double-lined square whose diagonals form a lattice reaching the corners, filled with scrollwork. On each side of the square a stepped gate juts out. Beyond it, rings of petals, scrollwork, dots, and spirals lead to the plain double border of this Tibetan mandala.

The line stays thin and even throughout, but the spaces vary: the lotus and the square's panels color quickly, while the scrollwork, spirals, and dotted rings near the edge need a fine point. This mandala coloring page suits an adult or teen used to detailed work, over several hours across two or three sittings.

Save a fine liner or sharp pencil for the outer rings, and start with the central lotus before the spirals and dots, the most delicate parts. For this printable mandala, print at A3 on heavy stock, 200gsm or more, so marker ink won't bleed through and fine lines stay crisp.
