Sun Mandala #1 - Free Coloring Page

At the centre of this printable mandala, a small empty circle is ringed by a burst of pointed sun-like rays, then by an eight-armed star with concave sides. A band divided into eight repeating sections follows, each holding a tiny radiating sun, a flower with a dotted centre, a spiral and a fan-shaped teardrop. Eight large pointed petals, alternating with shorter ones, then open toward a jagged outer edge rather than a clean circle, with a small flower at the base of each and a tiny sun on several tips.

The line stays thin throughout, but density spikes in the middle band, packed with small suns, spirals and dotted flowers that call for a fine tip; the large outer petals, by contrast, give wide areas that fill in quickly. This mandala coloring page suits an experienced hand; expect two to three hours for the whole design.

A fine liner or a sharply sharpened pencil keeps the small suns and spirals from bleeding into each other; start with the outer petals to find your rhythm before tackling the segmented band, the most delicate part of the drawing. For printing, choose A4 on heavy paper, at least 200 gsm, so markers don't bleed through the tight details.
