Sun Mandala #19 - Free Coloring Page

The heart of this printable sun mandala is a small empty disc ringed by short flames — that is the sun, and the only genuinely open area on the page. Five bands nest around it. First come sharply pointed petals with fine hatching, then a band of leaves and flame shapes dotted with small points, then a broad belt of longer flames with florets, tiny five-point stars and a few crescents slipped between them. Thin concentric circles separate each band.

The density is moderate and the bands are clearly bounded, which makes progress easy to follow: finish one ring, move to the next.

The stars and crescents are the smallest elements on the page. Keep a sharp pencil or a 0.3 fineliner for them and leave them until last, once the larger flames are down. A warm palette running from yellow through to deep red follows the design's natural reading from the centre outward. Print it at A4 on paper of at least 120 gsm if you are working with markers, and the ink will not bleed through.
