Sun Mandala #4 - Free Coloring Page

A small central circle holds eight curled spirals arranged like pinwheel blades, ringed by petal points that alternate a crescent moon and a small star. Next comes a large sun of slim triangular rays scattered with tiny stars, then a band of almond-shaped arches and a frieze of linked wave scrolls. The outer ring alternates eight sleepy-faced suns with large stars, between small curled comma shapes. Two thin circles close the design, with no beaded or scalloped edge.

The line stays thin from center to edge, but the spaces shrink toward the outside: the spiral and the sun give large, easy zones to fill, while the arches, scrolls and outer stars need a fine point. This mandala coloring page suits someone used to detail, ready to spend two to four hours on it; a child can manage the sun and crescents, while the outer frieze wants a steadier hand.

Start with the central sun and its ring of crescents, which set the tone, before the tiny stars and outer scrolls, the finest parts, using colored pencils or a fine-tip marker. For a printable mandala that keeps these details crisp, choose A4 or A3 paper of at least 200gsm.
